Experience

Software Developer Intern

International Business Machines (IBM)

Worked with an Agile team to redesign a legacy Customer Data Archival system that serviced the IBM Supply Chain Business Network. Using technologies such as Java, Vert.x, Couch DB, IBM MQueue and Docker, the team designed and built a more generalized, scalable and reliable cloud-based service application for supply chain documents to service multiple business-to-business networks. I designed, developed and integrated several of the microservices, including the local storage archival system, cloud storage archival and their access and management libraries. Also demonstrated the product to management in multiple meetings to plan the solution’s integration to production code.

Then, using multiple technologies such as Watson SystemT Annotation and TensorFlow to generate code so that minimal developer input is needed to add a new product into the configurator. Developed a production tool responsible for the automation of validation of the documents to ensure they contained the needed information, in addition to writing rules and queries to aid the flow and extraction of data.

Interests

Currently, my biggest hobby aside from coding-related activities include photography and videography. Feel free to checkout my photography page here. I enjoy a multitude of different styles of photograhy including astrophotography and macrophotography.

When I'm not coding or behind a camera, you can find me at the gym working out or fencing, or in front of a piano/cello/guitar making music with friends. I am also an aspiring baker and enjoy spending my time in a science fiction and fantasy world provided by a book, movie, games, or tv series.
